The Pope Lick Bridge                                            Louisville, Kentucky

Home to the legendary Pope Lick Monster, part human-part goat like creature that hunts the woods surrounding the bridge.  The stories might be a modern day fable, but the deaths surrounding the bridge are all too real. There's been several deaths attributed to thrill seekers trying to cross the bridge, but meeting an active train coming down the tracks. The bridge has also been the site of several suicides as well. Whether the Pope Lick Monster had a hand in influencing people to scale the fence and dare the bridge is still a mystery.
