Rancho Dominguez Adobe
As we made our way inside, the museum reminded us of the Zalud House in Porterville, California. As it is there, the docents have tried to replicate what life would have been like back in the day. Original furniture, clothing, bedding, toys and personal items belonging to the family are displayed in each of the rooms.
Ladies' Bedroom - The artifacts in this room represent the different aspects of life during the time of Manual and Maria Dominguez.
International Room - The collection displayed in this room were an example of the many pieces that the Dominguez family would bring back from their worldwide travels.
Formal Sitting Room - rumor has it that there were seances held in this room while the Dominguez family lived here.

Air Meet Display Room
One of the rooms shows an amazing diorama of the 1910 Air Meet at Dominguez Hills. It was the first National Aviation Meet in the United States that lasted for 10 days and brought in over a half million people. The Meet set many air speed records during its duration. It's a great presentation of a celebrated moment in our State's history.
