Warner Grand Theater San Pedro, California
The Warner Grand Theater This historic movie palace was coined the term, “The Castle of Your Dreams” when Jack Warner opened the Grand Theater in January 20th 1931. Located in San Pedro, CA this historic gem saw its magnificent days throughout the 1930’s and 1940’s, where it hosted many of the era’s top theater performances. During that time, there were two more Art-Deco Palaces built in Beverly Hills and Huntington Beach, CA. However, the Warner Grand Theater is the last structure left in tact that enables us to catch a glimpse of its past memories.
Upon walking through the gilded doors, the whole atmosphere changed (it was really like we went back in time!). The Art Deco glass chandelier, painted tiles, wooden doorframes, and concessionary fixture all seemed to hold on to its historic energy.
