Territorial Enterprise                                                Virginia City, Nevada

The Territorial Enterprise was the first, and most popular of Nevada's newspapers. It was moved to this location back in 1860. Of all the characters throughout American history, Mark Twain and Virginia city would never cross my mind; but from 1862 to 1865 Samuel Clemens wrote for the Territorial Enterprise and it's where he first used his pen name, Mark Twain.

This location was on the quiet side of us this evening; but it was an honor to get to step back into history and explore the basement levels where they house numerous historic artifacts from Mark Twain's time as a journalist.
